Even vampires have a gentler side. With the disapproval of killing any living being other than in self defense, she tends to look a lot weaker than other vampires. A heart that's too big can hardly fit into a small woman right? Wrong. This is mostly why she isn't part of any large group. When it comes to any person, human or animal, she can converse with ease. A problem solver and advice giver can be friends with anyone. When it comes to other people and their secrets, she doesn't like to judge. How can she judge someone when she has her own dark secrets? She believes if you can't have an open mind, don't open your mouth. And normally it works. She has yet to come across anyone that can handle her situation. Although it is a matter of time before Caitlin can open herself up. With the heart of a lover and the footing of a wood nymph she was always one to brighten a room on a cloudy day with her colorful spirit and bouncing nature. She always had a knack for knowing the right thing to bring anyone out of a sour mood, and if she couldn’t then there was just no hope for you. Anything that has to do with being outside, including farming, Caitlin has done it and loved it. She loves the outdoors, often enjoying laying in the green grass of Ireland and falling asleep while gazing up at the stars. Because of this Caitlin has gain a vast knowledge of plants, herbs, and how to take care of a number of animals. But don’t be fooled, when this raven haired pixie is angered, and thanks to her father doesn’t take much to achieve, is a loaded gun with the finger on the trigger ready to go off. It is hard for her to calm down once she’s been set off. And as a warning, you might want to run when you have a chance, she’s a force to be reckoned with and hard to get rid of. [/ul]

history: Born to into a farming family Caitlin and her twin sister Claire came into the world with complications but thanks to her mother’s strong nature and love for the twins all three survived. Soon after the last son was born, completing the family. The children were all loved and well taken care of, they were put to work on the farm the moment they could walk and talk, starting with housework and then eventually moving out into the fields with their father and grandfather. Caitlin didn’t mind working outside and compared to her twin she loved it. Being the first one up every morning she was always in a happy and uplifting mood. In her spare time she would venture out into the lush landscape of her home in Ireland and the nearby woods with her flute and note book in hand.
When Caitlin was 17 she started attending the local tavern with her father, at first not staying very long as her father didn’t want her hanging around the drunken men. But once they had learned of her singing and dancing talents they quickly grew a liking to her, demanding they put on shows for their entertainment. Then men loved to watch her dance to the beat, often saying she was graceful and light like a wood nymph. This was when she met her first love. The lad wasn’t much older than Caitlin, only 18 and was a farmer’s son from a neighboring village south. He didn’t notice her at first, but when she started dancing and singing, you could say it was love at first sight. Her father was hesitant at first being because he was so protective of her, but he grew to like the boy and his family. The two were set to marry.
Life was seemingly pleasant for Caitlin until around the 19th winter of her life. Viking ships raided the island, killing and pillaging all they could see. They watched from a top the hill overlooking the small village from their house they tried as best as they could to gather their belongings and head for shelter elsewhere. But before they could escape the men quickly traveled up the hill and stopped the family from moving. They rooted through their chests and ate their food and ale, playing with the older women as they pleased and making the men into punching bags. Caitlin’s husband was back at the newly married couples own home south from the village and was unaware at the time of the raid. During this the leader of the group of Vikings thought Caitlin and her sister would be suitable prizes for his king and not before killing the rest of her family and burning the cottage did they take the sisters onto their ship and back to their homeland.
When she arrived in Norway it wasn’t long until the two sisters were separated. The Viking king, once witnessed Caitlin’s dancing abilities along with her gentle nature, the king wanted her for his own, and traded her sister to a noble in Sweden. Heartbroken Caitlin didn’t have any strength to fight her way out, her once positive thinking now turned cold, she now felt there was no need to live anymore. On the night before the wedding she locked herself in her room and poisoned herself with a mixture of herbs. With just a few minutes left to live she laid down on her bed and closed her eyes, waiting to slip into the eternal slumber she was prepared for. But the soft touch of someone’s lips on hers made her eyes shoot open to look up at her husband. He had managed to follow her and sneak his way into her room. But he was different…he was cold. Besides the obvious changes their love for each other was still as strong as it was before and he told her he was here to save her. But she had already taken the poison and was soon to die. If it wasn’t for this he wouldn’t have done what he had to do next in order to preserve their future together. Sinking his teeth his into flesh he changed his beloved into the creature he had just recently became himself on his voyage to rescue her.
After her change they ventured through Norway, trying to escape from the country Caitlin still had to feed. Coming across a lone merchant traveling in the same direction as they were, Caitlin, now crazed with the need for blood attacked the traveler and drank him dry. Horrified by this Caitlin promised herself she would try her hardest to not slip like that again, and even to her disapproval decided to feed on animals instead. They did this for years, traveling Europe and experiencing life like they never could if they had remained human. Even though Caitlin hated what she had become, she was content with her life as long as her husband was by her side. It wasn’t until the establishment of blood banks did Caitlin replace her hunting animals for survival and drank human blood from containers instead, satisfying her taste for sweeter blood then the harsh taste from animals without the need of killing. Now out of the grasps of the men who killed her family she set out to find her sister but after years of searching with no success she gave up.
Now Caitlin is a professional dancer and currently bought a small house with her husband in Cedar Pointe, this being their first time out of Europe.
